주강정및사고종택 · 柱江亭 및 沙皐宗宅

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThis residence was built by Sago Jo Jeong-ok, the fourth son of Sawol Jo Im, and stands facing south-west within Saduideul village. Passing through a raised five-bay solsaeng gate (a tall gate with a raised central bay) at the front, one finds, across the sarang (men's reception) courtyard, the main house, a square-shaped building seven bays wide and four bays deep; to the rear right of the main house a shrine stands apart in its own separate space. To the rear left of the main house, within its own enclosure bounded by a square wall of packed earth and stone, stands Jugangjeong Pavilion, built by the main house owner's grandson, Jugang Jo Si-gwang; in front of Jugangjeong stand a kitchen building and a detached shrine, each occupying its own place.
