Kim Jung-won (1680–1750) was enrolled as a first-class Yangmu Wonjong Merit Subject and, after his death, was posthumously granted the court rank of Gaseon-daebu and the post of Minister of Taxation (Hojo Panseo) by Emperor Gojong in 1891, a figure of the late Joseon period. The artefacts preserved at Gwaneojae Hall — two ungeom (ceremonial swords) and one jochong (matchlock musket) — were bestowed on him at the time of that 1891 posthumous appointment. Although not especially old, they are valuable items rarely found elsewhere in the province.
