Chungsundang Hall Memorial Gate Pavilion, Haman
함안 충순당 정려각 · 咸安 忠順堂 旌閭閣

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThis memorial gate, a jeongnyeogak erected to commemorate acts of loyalty or filial piety, was built in 1869, the sixth year of Emperor Gojong, after Confucian scholars of the Yeongnam region repeatedly petitioned the court in recognition of the achievements of Yi Ryeong (1541–1592). It does not depart greatly from the form of other memorial gates built during the Joseon period, but it has survived in its original form since its construction, and is recognised for its scholarly value in illustrating the characteristics of memorial-gate architecture in this region. It was accordingly designated a Gyeongsangnam-do Cultural Heritage Material on 28 April 2011.
