This house was built by Gang Je, pen name Gyeha, and stands in front of the head house (jongtaek) of the Beopjeon Gang clan. The main residence (jeongchim) is a square, enclosed courtyard-style building measuring six bays across the front and six-and-a-half bays deep. The sarangchae (men's quarters) is placed to the right of the central gate bay: its left two bays form a continuous two-bay sarangbang (men's room) with a veranda to the front, while the right side holds a wooden-floored room, and a small secondary sarang is set behind the main sarangbang. The anchae (women's quarters) is centred on a two-bay wooden-floored hall, with the main bedroom (anbang) to its left and a side room (geonneobang) and an upper room (sangbang) to its right; a kitchen is attached to the front of the main bedroom.
