Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThis bridge was the only national-road bridge running from Jangdan out to Gorangpo in Yeoncheon, and it was built when the Gyeongui Line opened. A small bridge 7.2m long and 5.5m wide, set 8m above the railway, it stands about 300m south of the old Jangdan Station. The name "Bridge of Death" comes from the many American soldiers who died here during the Korean War, and the bridge carries the memory of that war's tragedy.
