George Watts Memorial Hall at Former Southern Presbyterian Church, Suncheon
KOGL Type 1Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.kr

Built around 1913, this building was established as an ordinary Bible institute by the American Southern Presbyterian missionary Preston, to train local people as church leaders. The first floor is now used as a clinic, and the second floor as a memorial hall for George Watts, the building's financial patron at the time. The roof is of mansard form, with both ends of its gabled roof bent slightly inward and one dormer window set at the front and one at the back, while a stringcourse runs between storeys on the exterior wall. Built for missionary work in the Suncheon region, the building has retained its appearance from the time of construction almost perfectly to this day.
