The Sinchon Station building is a single-storey structure with a floor area of 162.1 ㎡. It is believed to have been built in the 1920s as a station on the Gyeongui Line, and began operating as an ordinary station on 1 December 1920. The present building has been relocated and restored: it was due to be demolished when a privately funded station building was constructed nearby, but through the efforts of relevant experts it was moved and rebuilt at its current location. The plan is divided into a waiting hall and a station-operations area, with the main entrance at the gabled end of the waiting hall. The interior has heating facilities, and a chimney is built on top of the roof. In 2012 the interior facilities were improved and the surrounding area renovated, and the building was opened to the public.
