Built in 1925, this building was erected in memory of Rev. Eugene Bell (1868–1925, Korean name Bae Yu-ji), a pioneer of missionary work in the Jeolla region who founded the Jennie Speer Memorial School for Girls, and it was used as a chapel for missionaries and their families. The building is symmetrical overall about its centre, with round windows and pointed-arch windows harmoniously arranged throughout. Though small in scale, it has many decorative elements and is built with excellent architectural technique.
