Sinheung High School in Jeonju is a modern educational facility built in the 1900s by the American Southern Presbyterian missionary Reverend Reynolds, and it contributed greatly to Christian missionary work in the Honam region and on Jeju Island. The auditorium is a two-storey brick building with a gabled roof and a rectangular plan, built in 1936 to serve as both an auditorium and a gymnasium with funds donated by Mrs Richardson; its gable end has three continuous arched entrances. The main hall was built in 1928 as a three-storey brick building, but it was destroyed by fire in 1982, and today only the central front porch remains standing. The building is valued as an architectural record of the region's missionary history.
