Built in 1912, this building was a hospital erected at the Japanese navy's Jinhae base during the Japanese colonial period, and until recently served as the main building of a medical centre. It is based on a "ㄷ"-shaped (U-shaped) plan, with a gabled, granite pediment on the projecting front section and an ornament set above the centre of each pair of windows. The entrance is decorated with square columns and an arch combining granite and red brick, and the walls are finely laid in red brick, giving the elevation a well-organised, cohesive composition.
