Former Banyawol Station Building, Daegu
KOGL Type 1Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.kr

The Banyawol Station building is a single-storey structure with a floor area of 117 ㎡. Built in 1932 as a station on the Daegu Line, it was decommissioned in 2008; when an apartment complex was built on the site under an urban development plan, the building was relocated in 2010 to 823-25 Sinseo-dong, Dong-gu, Daegu. Its structure is wooden-truss framed, with a roof shaped like the letter 'T': the triangular gable is set off to one side rather than centred on the building, giving it a prominent, symbolic projection. The relocated and restored station building is now used as a small library.
