울진 행곡교회 · 蔚珍 杏谷敎會
Registered Cultural HeritageColonial Period · 1934

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThis building was the first church built in the Uljin area, erected using timber members salvaged from a soldiers' barracks that had stood within Uljin Eupseong, the town's walled fortress, during the Joseon period. Its plan is a rectangle elongated east–west, with the main entrance on the south side and windows to either side; on entering through the main entrance, the pulpit is set to the right. The building is overall well preserved, and as an early hanok (traditional Korean house)-style church in the Uljin area, it holds value in the history of modern architecture.
