Cheongso Station is a single-storey building with a floor area of 79.95㎡, and its railway track extends 150m to the left and 150m to the right. Cheongso Station is a station building on the Janghang Line. The Janghang Line was originally opened under the name Chungnam Line by the privately run Joseon Gyeongnam Railway Company, with the section between Cheonan and Onyang opening on 1 June 1922 and the entire line completed on 1 August 1931. It was nationalised in May 1946 under the policy of nationalising private railways, and was renamed the Janghang Line in June 1955. Cheongso Station began operating in 1929 as a small station staffed with station personnel, was upgraded to an ordinary station in September 1958, and the brick station building now standing was built in 1961. The station was originally named Jinjuk Station after a nearby village, but this was later changed to its present name, Cheongso Station. It is the oldest surviving station building on the Janghang Line and is currently in use as a small, unmanned-style station.
