Former Buljeong Station Building, Mungyeong
문경 구 불정역사 · 聞慶 舊 佛井驛舍

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThe former Buljeong Station was a station on the Mungyeong Line that began operating as an ordinary station on 10 November 1954, with the station building completed on 15 September 1955. The lower part of its exterior is finished in granite, while the upper part is finished with river pebbles from the nearby Guranggri Stream, giving it an appearance quite distinct from other small local stations. The entrance is set into the side of the gabled roof, and the floor plan consists of a waiting room and a station office, with the office projecting towards the platform so that staff could manage passengers conveniently. Since liberation, the station has held a sense of place as a site linked to the coal industry of the Mungyeong Coalfield.
