A piece of calligraphy brushed by Kim Ku (1876–1949), one of the scrolls lying on his desk at the time of his death on 26 June 1949. Bloodstains remain on its edges, making it an artefact that vividly testifies to the circumstances of that moment and giving it great historical value. The phrase 思無邪 (sa mu sa), meaning 'have no depraved thoughts', an aphorism from the Wei Zheng (爲政, 'On Government') chapter of the Analects of Confucius, reflects the situation and state of mind Kim Ku faced at the time, giving it great symbolic value. Dimensions (width × height): 400 × 1100 mm; material: hanji (traditional Korean paper); date of production: June 1946.
