Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThe Samnye Granary is believed to have been built in the 1920s and consists of four timber-framed buildings and two brick buildings. Part of the exterior and interior walls, the roof trusses and the eaves are well preserved, and the building retains the typical form of warehouse architecture, including clerestory windows at the top of the side walls and ventilation openings on the roof. Having served as a rice storage warehouse during the Japanese colonial period, it is of high historical value as evidence of the history of the exploitation of rice from the Honam Plain.
